Drew Jones, Executive Producer, Film, Moving Picture Company
Drew combines both the creative and technical elements of his extensive experience in his role as Executive producer at the Moving Picture company. Having studied Communication engineering and Photography he started out as a commercial photographer which led ultimately to his first stint at The Moving Picture Company and culminated in the role of Video Editor working on many high profile Television Commercials and Broadcast series. From MPC Drew joined Quantel during their development phase of the high end compositing system “Henry” and travelled the world training and demonstrating the system to companies and their artists. This combination of skills led naturally to a producer role at Framestore where Drew helped build the Film side of the company before being asked once more to join The Moving Picture Company as its Executive producer. Here he is active on all fronts dealing specifically with the main American studios and their visual effects requirements as well as UK based productions.
Drew has recently been involved with high profile productions such as Prince Caspian, James Bond “The Quantum of Solace”, Wolfman and GI Joe. He is a very active member of the visual effects community in London. He regularly participates in events with the Film Council and UK Screen Association as well as being a member of BAFTA and The Production Guild. He also sits on the board of the UK chapter for the Visual Effects Society.
