China, Latin America, and Southeast Asia share a solid foundation and tremendous potential for economic and trade cooperation, particularly in agriculture and the trade of agricultural products. Latin America serves as a core supplier of grains and livestock, and Southeast Asia as a vital source of tropical commodities and a key logistics hub. As the world’s largest consumer market for agricultural products, China’s demand for high-quality, safe, and sustainably produced goods continues to grow, creating expanding opportunities for collaboration. Amid shifting trade patterns and urgent climate action, it is imperative for all stakeholders to collaborate in establishing a green, resilient agricultural supply chain—deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership, strengthening global food security, and contributing to climate and nature objectives.
In this context, Sustainable Agriculture and Green Supply Chain International Forum will be held on September 15, 2026, as part of the 2026 World AgriFood Innovation Conference (WAFI). The Forum is organized by World Resources Institute (WRI), China Agricultural University (CAU), and World AgriFood Innovation Conference (WAFI). The forum will bring together relevant government departments, international organizations, research institutions, industry associations, investors, and financial institutions and other stakeholders from China, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Participants will engage in in-depth dialogue on key issues in sustainable agricultural commodity supply chain, covering policy coordination, standard mutual recognition, technological application, market trends and investment mechanisms.
