6月8日是 “文化和自然遗产日”，2024年还是我国加入联合国教科文组织《保护非物质文化遗产公约》20周年。今年“文化和自然遗产日”的主题为“保护文物，传承文明”。
从1987年的故宫、兵马俑，到2023年的普洱景迈山古茶林文化景观，中国已有57处列入联合国教科文组织名录的“世界遗产”，位居全球第二；此外，还有43项非物质文化遗产列入联合国教科文组织非物质文化遗产名录，是世界上拥有非物质文化遗产最多的国家。

Saturday marks China's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, and this year's theme is "Protecting cultural heritage, passing on civilization."
China established Cultural Heritage Day in 2006, designating the second Saturday of June to celebrate the nation's unique cultural treasures. In 2017, the observance was expanded to encompass natural heritage, becoming the current Cultural and Natural Heritage Day.
To date, China has 57 sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, ranking second globally. Additionally, China has 43 items on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List, making it the country with the most listings in the world.
