今天，杭州亚运会火炬传递启动仪式在杭州西湖涌金公园广场举行。随后火炬将在湖州、嘉兴、绍兴、宁波、舟山、台州、温州、丽水、金华、衢州依次传递，20日回到杭州完成最后一站传递。整个传递过程将有2000余名火炬手参加。
The 19th Asian Games torch relay starts in Hangzhou today. The torch will journey through 11 cities in Zhejiang province, including Huzhou, Jiaxing, Shaoxing, Ningbo, Zhoushan, Taizhou, Wenzhou, Lishui, Jinhua, and Quzhou, before returning to Hangzhou on Sept 20 to complete its final leg.
A total of 2,022 torchbearers will participate in the relay, ranging in age from 14 to 84 years old.

杭州亚组委相关负责人介绍，火炬整体高730毫米，净重1200克，上半部分颜色为“丹桂金”，从“腰线”往下渐变为亚运主题色“虹韵紫”，火炬的总体设计思想来自实证中华五千年文明史的良渚文化。
The torch, entitled "Eternal Flame," is inspired by the Liangzhu Civilization, the ruins of which are in Hangzhou, and symbolizes the inheritance of the Chinese culture through generations spanning 5,000 years.
从结构上看，火炬自上而下分为出火口、炬冠、炬身、炬基等多个部分。出火口设计源自“琮”最早的甲骨文字形，寓意“光在内周而复始”；炬冠以玉琮的语意为特征，方圆相融，昂然而立；炬身以良渚螺旋纹为演化，形似指纹，自然交织，精致细密；炬基则以八条水脉为文明之脉，代表着浙江八大水系。

“火炬的名字‘薪火’，本身就包含‘传承’的寓意。”火炬设计指导、中国美术学院工业设计研究院院长王昀说，火炬整体轮廓曲线犹如手握薪柴，在动静之中迸发出由外向内融合的力量感和汇聚态势，风格中正平和、典雅大气。
Offering design guidance for the torch, Wang Yun, the Dean of the Industrial Design Research Institute of the China Academy of Art, said that the overall contour of the torch resembles a hand holding kindling, bursting with a sense of outward fusion and convergence in both motion and stillness. The style is balanced and elegant.
除“薪火”火炬之外，火炬延展物资还有采火器、采火棒、火种盆、火种灯、火种盒、引火棒、火种灯箱、火炬支架等，这些均由中国美术学院工业设计研究院团队设计完成。
记者了解到，火炬研发制造历经两年时间，技术团队由五支队伍组成，分别专门负责火炬结构设计、工艺处理、产品测试、生产制造、品质把控的工作。为了确保火炬燃烧的稳定性，团队围绕自主研发的直喷火稳焰技术、密簇网燃烧技术、大孔导流防雨技术、双射流混合技术四大燃烧技术，开展了燃烧系统专项突破。

例如，直喷火稳焰技术可在火炬主火意外熄灭后，让直喷火在环形主火下方燃烧，重新点燃主火。双射流混合技术可让内环直喷火混合更加均匀，火焰短而有力，不受外界环境干扰。这些技术都提高了火炬的防风能力。
火炬项目技术负责人俞瑜告诉记者，为尽可能减少暴雨等极端天气的影响，火炬密簇网在设计上通过大孔小孔配合有效防止雨水堵塞。大孔对雨水进行导流，小孔防止雨水落下堵住喷嘴，让火炬的防雨性能得到大幅提升。
Yu Yu, the technical leader of the torch project, told reporters that in order to minimize the impact of possible extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain, the torch's design effectively prevents rainwater blockage by using a combination of large and small openings. The large openings guide rainwater, while the small openings prevent rainwater from clogging the nozzles, greatly improving the torch's rain resistance performance.
“我们的工作人员经过反复测试，累计编制26份试验指导书，出具测试报告超过60份，先后突破了工艺、材料、生产领域的多项技术瓶颈。”俞瑜说，目前火炬能够在8级风速和大雨状态下持续燃烧，并且火种清晰可见，火炬在抗风、耐高温等方面刷新多项纪录。“我们力争让每一把亚运火炬的品质做到极致。”
