由于沿海地区水汽大，盐分高，且在上次台风中被水浸泡过，海城社区电动车集中充电点原有的普通电能表已经不堪使用，考虑到现实状况，浙江玉环市供电公司将新型防水智能电能表更换了上去。

“普通电能表泡水后，内部元器件会因短路烧毁，不但电能表报废，而且影响客户的正常用电，会出现数值不跑、快跑、甚至乱跑的情况，导致计量不准确。”浙江玉环市供电公司营销部计量班副班长朱杰介绍道。

地处东部沿海的台州，近年来频繁受台风“光顾”，台风带来的狂风暴雨，让普通电能表“非常受伤”。仅2019年的台风“利奇马”期间，因泡水、浸水等原因造成的单相和三相电能表故障报废累计近75000只，带来的资金损失超1400万元。

基于此，国网浙江电力对普通电能表进行了防水性能上的改进。尽管与普通的电能表在外观上并没有多大的区别，但是新型防水电能表具备IP68这一民用最高等级的防尘和防水级别。根据产品介绍及相应的试验证明，新型防水电能表可以泡在水中持续72小时，内部元器件不会损坏，晒干后依旧可以使用，并显示正常、数据正常。

考虑到沿海地区供电设施受台风、降水影响大且频繁，在充分借鉴“黑格比”、“利奇马”的经验教训后，浙江台州供电公司率先在玉环、温岭、临海等试点应用新型防水电能表，并将在明年台风季前，完成6000只新型防水电能表的安装应用。

“通过新型防水电能表的应用，减少灾后的抢修时间，尽快恢复居民用电。”浙江玉环市供电公司营销部副主任黄林涛说，新型防水电能表全面覆盖后，电网在应对洪涝、台风灾害时，既能减少电能表报废损失和电量损失，并且极大提高抢修复电效率。
